5 reasons to do a couples boudoir session

Just kidding... it's not the end! While the pictures speak for themselves, I will never be a "one liner" kinda gal so I am going to tell you WHY it's awesome.
- Celebrate your love: regardless of your age, gender, sexual preference, shape, marital status or anything else a couples boudoir session is for you. The imagery isn't about making you look like a model, it's a celebration of EVERY.DAMN.BIT of your love. Love isn't easy, relationships aren't easy but you've made it together and your love deserves to be celebrated and documented in a sensual, sexual, and safe way that you can look back at for many years to come.
- Reconnect: it's human nature to get comfortable in a relationship. Many couples seek a session as a way to reconnect to each other.
- Explore your sexuality: as we get older our idea of intimacy may change, adding new things to your relationship can spice your sex life up in ways you can't even imagine. Surprise yourself and your partner by exploring new ways to excite each other...
- You are sexy AF together: What could your partner do for you that would speak so hard to your love language that you'd have to jump their bones right then and there? Imagine the sparks, the fire, the intensity! Now, add a fly on the wall to document all that sexiness. I'm that fly! I will guide you 100% of the way, but majority of couples boudoir sessions become candid with minimal guidance about 1/4 of the way in. I want to organically allow the romance and sparks to happen, with minor assistance.
- Awkward or amazing: AMAZING! While it may seem like it could be a super awkward situation, it doesn't stay that way. The school girl giggles are a perfect way to show off your cute and cozy side before we jump into the super sexy sets. I'm here to showcase why your love is amazing, so you get to choose if you want to be modest or risque. I will take the love and emotions of your relationship and make them come to life on my camera. Our clients often have their sessions done at airbnb's that speak to their style and I highly recommend this because it makes the session even more unique!
If you do a google search for "couples boudoir" you'll likely see a lot of fit, tattooed, model-esk people. Don't let this discourage you, as I said before an intimate boudoir session is for everyone. My personal belief for this is because photographers often use models to highlight their creativity and have rights to post the images. I very rarely post images from these sessions, even if our clients provide a full release because the intimacy is for YOU to enjoy.
There isn't a mold on who you need to be in order to do a couples session. Do you have a freak flag? Wave that shit around proudly! But, if you don't its totally fine - our sessions are all tailored to be unique to your relationship. I do my best to tell a story throughout the session, to make it flow in a realistic way that makes it easy (easier) for you to get comfortable and bare it all. It's very rare that someone (whether a single or a couples session) walks into the studio ready to strip down. It's a vulnerable process and I would never want to NOT show that vulnerability - that is part of what makes this a beautiful experience!
I thoroughly believe the most important way to prepare for a couples session is to offer these sessions to existing clients. Having a foundation consisting of trust, faith and experience is necessary to creating the right environment for your couples session. After a woman see's the finished product of her private session she develops a form of confidence that is brought over to the couples boudoir which cannot be coached or guided!

Boudie Bucks | Gainesville Boudoir Studio
It's unfortunate that women don't invest in themselves more. We, as women, even feel guilty to get our hair done or buy new clothes. With all we do for our families we truly do deserve more for ourselves. If nerves are stopping you from doing a boudoir session, I can and will help you through that. But, if your reason is financially fueled then I have yet another option to make your boudoir session happen.
I currently accept payment through cash, check, and credit. I offer payment plans which can be spread out over the course of 3 months following your session. I also accept paypal credit which gives you SIX MONTHS interest free financing through paypal and you get your products immediately. But if you need more I now have Boudie Bucks, so keep reading...
- Pick your session: One hour or Two hours
- Pick your products (you can start low and upgrade of you decide to)
- Decide on an amount you feel comfortable paying: weekly, biweekly, or monthly. The amount can be spread out over 12 months to make the payments even lower!
- It's time to schedule: 4-6 weeks out from your final payment we will get your boudie on the calendar!
- *If at any time during the Boudie Buck program you decide that you want to go ahead and book before paying the full amount off, you can do that too!
A few things to keep in mind with the Boudie Bucks:
- IF you are interested in a boudoir session for a certain occasion (birthday, holiday, etc) and it is less than 6 months away, paypal credit or a payment plan may be a better option.
- Payments made into the Boudie Bucks account are not refundable.
- Following your session, if you want to add additional products or upgrade... you can!

Boudoir Studio North Atlanta Georgia
As the only Gainesville Georgia boudoir studio (north of Atlanta), I hear from clients from many backgrounds but the common ground is a need and a desire to feel better about themselves. On first glance boudoir photography may just seem like a provocative photo shoot for your other half, something kinky and fun to spice up your love life but let me tell you first hand -- it's not. I've been photographing incredible women through boudoir sessions since 2008, when it wasn't as accepted as it is today. I've also had two sessions of my own. This IS a life changing event. This IS an experience for YOU and it WILL help you to self-love and appreciate yourself the way you should.
Why Miss B needed a boudoir session:
"I've always struggled with body image issues. I was never overweight, I was just obsessed with staying as thin as possible. I started dieting at around twelve years old and basically did anything I had to do (including starve myself or binge/purge) to stay small. When I was in college I worked at a gym, and started dating a guy I met there. He got me into weight lifting and I loved it. We eventually broke up but I continued to lift for several more years, until I got married and had kids. After having my children I would always get back to my pre-pregnancy weight (or close to it) but I never had the muscle definition that I did when I was lifting. I would just diet and do cardio. We recently updated our home gym, and I started lifting again back in March. I have wanted to do a boudoir shoot for years but just kept putting it off; until I was in better shape, had the money, etc. So since I've been working out steadily for over three months now, I wanted to do this sort of as a reward, but also as motivation to see how far I've come and to continue so as not to waste any progress I've made so far. Also, because when I'm older I don't want to look back and wish I had done it and not kept putting it off. After years of being obsessed with a number on a scale, or a the size of my jeans, I'm finally focused on being healthy and strong and taking care of my body. So I would like my session to reflect that in a way, if possible."
Strong is sexy. Healthy is sexy.
As a RN, a woman, and someone who struggled with eating disorders for many years I can tell you that an eating disorder will NEVER make you feel better about yourself no matter how thin you are. If you are struggling with significant body image issues to the point of starvation or binging/purging you will need professional guidance and support to get you to a better place and I am in no way implying that boudoir photography is a magical thing that will fix something so severe. However, I will testify that once you are on a healing path you could benefit from an empowering and uplifting experience such as boudoir photography.

Was there a reason you booked a boudoir session? How long have you wanted to do it?
"I had gained some weight after having my son. I hit the point where I said enough is enough. I got a trainer and made it my fitness goal to lose weight, feel better about me, and to reward my efforts with a boidoir session. I spent about 6 months working on myself and losing almost 30 lbs. During that time, the shoot was my motivation to be my best self again."
Were you nervous at all? If so, what helped you to overcome those nerves and/or fears the most?
"I was definitely nervous. I had never had professional hair and makeup done or walked around in front of a stranger half naked before either. Jennifer made me feel so comfortable. We went through the questionnaire together to confirm what parts of me I wanted to focus on and what areas made me uncomfortable. She went through my outfits with me. Everything was laid back like a girl's night out. She helped direct all the poses so I didn't have to worry about a thing."
Was the response you received on the images what you expected? Better than you expected?
"The response was better than expected. I was amazed at how many photos I loved of ME! My husband loved them. Even my friends were super supportive and thought they turned out amazing."
What was your favorite part of the experience?
"My favorite parts were being all done up like a model and seeing the beautiful end results at the reveal."
Are you still high on life from the self esteem boost this session gave you?
"I still keep looking at the images of myself daily and still in awe of the experience. My husband is proud of me for accomplishing so many goals as a part of this experience. I'm proud of myself too!"
What would you say to other women who are contemplating a boudoir session but may have hesitations?
"I would say this is a must have experience. Add this to your bucket list and cross it off! We beat ourselves up so much and we don't appreciate ourselves enough as women or as mothers. We are amazing as we are and what better way of showing it by showing that we can be powerful, sexy, fun, and vulnerable all at the same time."

Miss T won the Mothers Day Giveaway I ran this year, I had some incredibly moving emails from mothers who all deserved a session and wish I had the availability to offer it to everyone that applied.
