Palm Beach Photographer | Robins will wear their feathery fire…

We made it to Florida around 3pm and after baggage claim and renting a car we were on our way to West Palm around 4 and after another 45 min's of traveling we were finally here.  Juli came up with a great idea to shoot in Belle Glade.  Belle Glade?  Where is that? .... Google it, it's in the middle of NO WHERE.  A lot of sugar caine fields and fields and fields.... and more fields.  She had seen a run down house on the side of the road that she felt would make a good spot.  It would have been great!  One problem.... it was covered in over grown trees.  No biggie- plenty of open areas to shoot.  We actually found a spectators area where you could view the swaps.  We heard alligators mating calls and wild birds.  It was very peaceful.  We shot until Juli was attacked by red ants.  Well, she kind of attacked them and then they decided to retaliate.  But I was able to capture Miss Juli and her beautiful art work.  I've known Juli for about 5 years and I've always wanted to photograph her.  She has a unique look and I love it.  Your beautiful, Juli and I had a great time.  Thai + Sushi following was pretty wonderful also. <3 <3

Lauren & RJ:: Married! {Ballantyne Hotel}

Congrats to Lauren & RJ.  They had a beautiful wedding at the Ballantyne Hotel in Charlotte, NC.  It was the kind most girls can only dream of.  The ceremony was right off the 18th hole; where you had a view of a fountain, the hotel and the green.  Cocktails and appetizers were served following the ceremony while we got to play with the wedding party.  Finally, the reception. A wonderful meal was served, family & friends danced and laughs were had by all.  It wasn't the women that fought over the bouquet, it was the men that fought over the garter!

Overall, such a beautiful event and we are glad we could be a part of it.  Again, congrats to you, Mr. & Mrs. RJ Waite.  May you have many years of laughter, happiness and love.

Testing: 24-70mm f/2.8

Before meeting Alex for dinner tonight, Gavin and I met her in Greer at the Veterans Memorial Park to test out the new lens.  I have to admit, I like the lens but not for what I was looking to do tonight.  So back to the ol' 50 mm for the shoot and here are some images.  Alex and I will, one day, arrange enough time to do an actual shoot.  Todays only lasted 15 mins & we were some hungry girls!

I did manage to take some great pictures of the park, which I will post later.  Check back in a few days for those and for pictures of tomorrows wedding in Charlotte, NC.

Good night!

Keep rockin’ & keep knockin’ {Palm Beach FL}

My first session while in Florida this weekend was tonight.  Laura & I (and our three assistants lol) went to the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach (if you haven't heard of it, google it.  It's beau-ti-ful)   They had no problems with us using their billion dollar hotel as a background.  We then moved to an old gothic style church that was right down the road and I can't wait to go back and shoot there again with my studio lights, it was exactly my style.  Here's a few from Laura's session:

Selina {Downtown Greenville}

Selina wanted her portraits taken downtown Greenville so we took over the West End and found some great new locations.  She was great to work with and beautiful (You hear me Selina?  BEAUTIFUL! :) ) ... So easy to photograph and a pleasure to work with.  I am looking forward to the next shoot when her boyfriend comes along for he fun!

Eli:: Newborn! {Greenville SC}

As most of you know, Tiffany and her family have been with me since I started shooting again.  Today we had a maternity session to capture the *end* of her pregnancy with little Eli.  I had hoped to provide them with some amazing images but ... the sun and the shadows weren't on my side.  It  happens when you can only shoot mid day, Tiffany! ;)  It's okay, we'll do another one if he'll hold out a few more days!

From Her Cowboy Boots to Her Down Home Roots…

Erica and I spent a few hours on the farm today for a photo shoot and it was a lot of fun.  She wanted a classic red and white barn and that's exactly what they had.  Cedar Ridge Farm is a great spot; they offer riding lessons, birthday parties and barn or pasture boarding.  Bill and Larry were great to work with and very helpful!  We ended up getting rained out of there early, but not before Erica played in the rain.  If you look closely you'll see some rain in a few of the images.

Thanks again to the guys at Cedar Ridge Farm!

They Got Nothin’ On You, Baby…

Lisa spent 5 years modeling but decided to put it to rest when she had her lil girl two years ago.  Today was just as much of a treat to her as it was to myself.  She is a beautiful, strong, single mother and I hope that I was able to bring her strength to these images.

The Trotter Kiddies!

I have wanted to do a portrait session in a wheat field for a long time and while driving home the other day I found the perfect one... when we showed up today it was gone!  Freshly cut!  But, no fear this is SC and there are plenty of wheat fields and we drove down about a mile and found another great spot.  Poor Reece was sick with a cold, you could see it in his eyes but he was a trooper and they all did great!

That Girl Like Somethin’ Off A Poster…

Nicole... Nicole... Nicole... you did an amazing job today and it was a pleasure to photograph you.  She told me she had never done anything like this before, I guess that makes her a natural!!

I had so many great pics I couldn't decide on just one, so here's a flash show for you to see them!
