Can you all believe that we are officially two weeks into 2018? Even though we are well into the New Year, I know there are some of us out there still trying to figure out what our New Year’s Resolutions will be.

I’ve never been one to really be into the whole New Years Resolution thing because let’s be honest.. I either can’t figure out what the heck I want to need my resolutions to be or by the end of February I have already demolished any resolutions I put into place. BUT this year, I have declared MY YEAR. I am going to make resolutions to take time for myself, do things for myself, grow and learn in all aspects of me. I’ll get more into my own resolutions in a minute but first….

I know i’m not alone in my thought process when I cannot figure out what to declare a “resolution.” I like to think that we all work towards a better us throughout the year, so why is it necessary to put something into the form of a resolution? Isn’t it just self explanatory? Well, yes but sometimes when we writing things down and REALLY try to see those thoughts and ideas come to life it makes it a whole lot easier to achieve!

With the help of Lauren Conrad, I wanted to share with you a great trick for coming up with your own resolution:

Choose a word from the list below:

  • love
  • joy
  • peace
  • self
  • patience
  • kindness
  • empathy
  • goodness
  • gentleness
  • faithfulness
  • self control
  • steadfastness
  • persistence

What does this word mean to you? Use this word and its meaning to form a resolution to focus on in 2018!

The word I chose is self. So, what are my personal resolution?

  • Cease every opportunity
  • Grow in Love, Grow Professionally, Grow Financially
  • Focus on myself a little more; do more things for myself
  • Be more spontaneous
