Palm Beach Family Photographer | Olivia is ONE!

What a little cutie pie!  Olivia came to her session ready to rock, but would only let the paparazzi have their 15 minutes.  Fortunately for her parents, I got some cute pictures before my 15 minute window was up ;).

Thanks for hanging out with me Olivia, you were a doll.  Mom & Dad you better keep your eye on that one.  She's going to be a heart breaker!

Palm Beach Photographer | {Mini} Munchkin Photo Sesh

After an impromptu rally of the kids we headed west just in time for some nice golden sun.  I wanted to practice playing with sun and my sister in law also wanted me to teach her some basics.  What's better to photograph than a group of rambunctious kids?  Gavin (my son) is cousins with Kate.  Taylor (Gavin's future wife) and Austin came along with their friend Brian and aside from the croc sightings and a few ant bites I think we did alright!

Facebook is really starting to butcher my uploads.  These are the same sneaks from the fan page but the quality is much better.

Palm Beach Family Photographer | {Vintage} Christmas Mini Sessions

This year for holiday portraits I wanted to do something different.  I wanted to incorporate a set into my holiday mini's and I went with a vintage {with a modern twist} set.  The mantel was the piece that tied it all together, big thanks to my brother Matt for building it.  Once it was built I aged it to give it the look I was going for.  Then I set it with some fun props and called it a day.

Let me start by saying the radar LIED!  There wasn't any green on the radar, although it was windy and had the feeling of rain... I made it through 5 sessions without more than a light sprinkle, but on my 6th it started to come down hard.  We had to throw the towel in at that point.  There is a strong possibility of having another mini session day so if you're interested please contact me asap.  This may be the last year I do mini's.

Palm Beach Family Photographer | The Didio Family

I met with this lovely family in Royal Palm at the Veterans Park Memorial.  It was my first time shooting there and it was beautiful.  From open grassed areas to charming waterfalls, this was a relaxing and family orientated location which was perfect for our session.

I photographed the Didio's on the beach back in September and WOW has Carrie grown.  Such a diva!  Mom & Dad you have your hands full!

Spartanburg Family Photographer | The Bogan Family

It seems Miliken is becoming more and more popular and is taking over my portfolio!  My clients just love it there and is the first place that comes to mind for them when I ask "where".  No problem for me, this place offers several different ponds, a lot of freshly manicured grass, large trees and tons of shade.

I met the Bogans this evening for a family shoot and these guys were loads of fun.  In my experience teenage boys are "too cool" for family photos and getting a smile or a goofy gesture out of them is like pulling teeth!  Not these guys, they were down to do all the crazy ideas I threw at them.

Maybe they'll remember the fun times we had today when its time for each of them to do senior portraits :)

Hunter is ONE!

This adorable little man turned one last weekend and he, as most one year olds, was more interested in the paper and boxes than the toys!  He's such a happy little boy, full of smiles and giggles (also tantrums and screams but what one year old isn't?).  Mom, Stefanie, had his birthday party at their house and she did a wonderful job decorating with the very appropriate theme of monkeys.

Happy Birthday Hunter!

Spartanburg Family Photographer | Farrell Boys

This started off being one of the most flattering shoots ever.  I got out of my car at the field to meet with James (9) and Spencer(5) for a evening session and James says "You're beautiful."  You've taught him well mom!  Flattery will get you places in life!!

We met in Holly Springs at a big open field with nothing but grass, kudzu and grass hoppers.  We played ball, frisbee and bubbles until the heat had us all worn out.  I will not give out my new top secret trick to making a 5 year old boy laugh.  It stays between me, Spencer and the grass hoppers. :o)

Mal & Cal {Downtown Greenville}

I met Mallorie downtown Greenville a few months ago.  She was working with TJ from Gvegas Nights and I was down there with some friends promoting Portraits for Heroes.  Mallorie was one of the awesome contestants in our bachelor & bachelorette auction, so I was definitely excited to shoot her.

Again, with the rain.  And again it was cleared up by 5 but this time it left behind nasty humidity.  We shot at The Children's Garden which is a cute little area under the 123 Bridge with flowers, gardens, etc.

Mallorie brought her daughter Caleigh, she's 13 months and so adorable.  Those chunky cheeks and gorgeous eyes make her completely irresistable and not to mention she has one hot momma!  Doesn't she look amazing, you'd never know she had a child!

Reid Family {Greer City Hall}

I met the Reid/Carithers family tonight for some family photos.  Our session was at 6:45 and right around 5pm it started thundering, lightning and raining.... and I live five minutes from where we were scheduled to shoot.  But as fate would have it... not only did the nonsense weather stop but it was beautiful out.  Perfect conditions for an outside shoot.

After dodging the herds of people and trying to stay out of the way of another couples wedding photographs, we manage to sneak in a few good ones.  Here are the sneak peaks.

Also, keep an eye out for Chandler and Amber, I'll be doing their 2011 Senior Portraits next week!
