Palm Beach Photographer | Thanks for Giving... Give away....

So much has happened both in my personal and career life over the last year.  I'm extremely grateful to all the amazing friends, family, and clients who have seen me through.  Photography has helped to keep my mind off of more pressing issues in my life.  It's something I could do all day every day and never get sick of it.  It's such an honor to be a part of your life, photograph your memories, and watch your families grow.  The biggest compliment you can give me is to refer a friend to me and I'm about 80% word of mouth.  So for that, I thank you.

The month of November serves as two events.  First, it's Thanksgiving (of course!) and second, it's the birthday month of Mirrored Images.  This year I will be giving away a session to one lucky individual.  Send me your story, your triumph, and your blessings and I will read it and choose one lucky person to give a session to.  Nothing is off limits here.  Wedding, newborn, high school senior, boudoir, maternity, etc.  You tell me in your submission what you're interested in and if you win, it's yours.

All entries must be received by November 16th at midnight.  Please email your story to shootme@mirroredimages.net and include your name, age, location (must be willing to travel to Palm Beach County), session interested in, and the best contact number.  Your story will not be shared publicly so please don't hold back.  Tell me why you deserve this, tell me what you're grateful for, and tell me what obstacles you've overcome in your life.

Captiva Island Photographer | Sanibel/Captiva Sunset

Two of my favorites and I headed west for the weekend, to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.  We stayed on Ft Myers Island in a great resort that was right on the beach, had an awesome Tiki bar, and a very relaxing feel.  Saturday we made the short drive to Sanibel and Captiva Islands for the sunset and it was worth it.  So beautiful!  I would love to extend my wedding photography services to destination weddings at all three islands, I saw some amazing spots that a beautiful bride would look amazing in front of.

Here's a sunset picture I took....I shot on the low side of the exposure scale just to get all the beautiful low lights of the sky.  I've never watched the sun set on the west coast before, and I will for sure do it again.  There were about 40 people on the beach and as it set everyone got quiet and just watched the beauty.  I loved it :)

Not that I have any qualification to review/critique local attractions but here's what the three of us felt:

Outrigger Beach Resort: very friendly staff, beautiful water front location, slightly older style but fit in with the rest of the island.

Zushi Zushi: A sushi restaurant on the "strip" and delicious.  Even my friend who doesn't like sushi found something she could eat there.  We actually wen't twice while there.

Alligators Tails & Ales: A sports bar with amazing burgers that we hit up after our trip to Sanibel.  Yummy!

Great trip, next time we'll stay longer!

Spartanburg Photographer | Crazy, sexy, beautiful…{Milliken}

That's it... I've made up my mind.  I'm moving to Alaska!  This heat will be the death of me!  Today wasn't even in the 90's and it was so sticky out Tarah and I both were glistening.

Anyways.

Tarah is a beautiful and artsy 19 year old (almost 20!).  She's originally from Canada so that makes her my first foreign client! (ha.... if you call that foreign) She's in school to be a graphic designer and she has also taken a few photography courses.  Oh and boys... she's single. :o)

I've driven by this great graffiti wall several times over the last year and finally had a client that I knew would be perfect for it.  So off to Spartanburg we went.  The park was packed so after a few shots we moved to an open field near by.  Tarah was a great sport and made posing look effortless.  Despite the humidity, the gnats and the sun glaring down on us we managed to rock this shoot.

Lake Worth Children Photographer | Lil E

Eric & I took Evan to downtown Lake Worth for a lifestyle session.  He brought his skateboard and bubbles and we were ready to rock.  We started off by Island Water Sports, a local surf shop with great clothes btw, and then moved to the other end of downtown.  He was a lot of fun to photograph and a great listener!  It was 92 degrees in Lake Worth, by the end of the shoot we were all soaked in sweat and ready for some AC!  But despite the mid day sun and horrible heat we managed to get some great shots and we will definitely be shooting lil E again!

Palm Beach Photographer | Robins will wear their feathery fire…

We made it to Florida around 3pm and after baggage claim and renting a car we were on our way to West Palm around 4 and after another 45 min's of traveling we were finally here.  Juli came up with a great idea to shoot in Belle Glade.  Belle Glade?  Where is that? .... Google it, it's in the middle of NO WHERE.  A lot of sugar caine fields and fields and fields.... and more fields.  She had seen a run down house on the side of the road that she felt would make a good spot.  It would have been great!  One problem.... it was covered in over grown trees.  No biggie- plenty of open areas to shoot.  We actually found a spectators area where you could view the swaps.  We heard alligators mating calls and wild birds.  It was very peaceful.  We shot until Juli was attacked by red ants.  Well, she kind of attacked them and then they decided to retaliate.  But I was able to capture Miss Juli and her beautiful art work.  I've known Juli for about 5 years and I've always wanted to photograph her.  She has a unique look and I love it.  Your beautiful, Juli and I had a great time.  Thai + Sushi following was pretty wonderful also. <3 <3

Keep rockin’ & keep knockin’ {Palm Beach FL}

My first session while in Florida this weekend was tonight.  Laura & I (and our three assistants lol) went to the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach (if you haven't heard of it, google it.  It's beau-ti-ful)   They had no problems with us using their billion dollar hotel as a background.  We then moved to an old gothic style church that was right down the road and I can't wait to go back and shoot there again with my studio lights, it was exactly my style.  Here's a few from Laura's session:

My baby... not such a baby anymore

Gavin turned 6 years old last month and broke my heart.  He's getting so big!  I rarely have the opportunity to go out one on one with him and put my shutter finger to work.  I got off work early today and the weather was perfect.  Across the street from my parents house is a beautiful, big open field.  We spent about ten mins out there goofing off.  Here's a few from the shoot.

Airborne!

Again... but a different jump :)

Sitting, impatiently in the grass.  He got mad because I made him stop catching lady bugs for the picture :D

Crabby grass.... hahahaha <3 it!

On the search for more lady bugs!

Greenville Photographer | Wee-One

Tiffany & Dustin had lil Elijah just in time to take advantage of our crazy, insane, unbelievable newborn special. (I over did it, didn't I?)

Eli is 5 days old today and beautiful.  But, don't let the fact that he is 5 days old fool you.  He picks up his head, opens his eyes big and bright and wiggles like a little worm.  I got to use some new props that a friend knitted for us (If you're interested in purchasing please contact me and I will send you her way) and they were adorable on him.

If you're interested in taking part of our crazy, insane, unbelievable newborn special just send us a message and I'll give you all the details!

Dawson Cole{Newborn}

I met little Dawson at his moms baby shower last month, we got to view him in 4D before he made his grand entrance.  But today I got to meet the little dude in person and he is gorgeous!   Beautiful blue eyes, perfect skin and the cutest little fingers and toes.  Mom, Crystal, wanted to do something fun and different for his photo shoot so we went with a more antique look and got the most amazing shot at the end when he finally fell asleep.  Here's his very own slide show:

Selina {Downtown Greenville}

Selina wanted her portraits taken downtown Greenville so we took over the West End and found some great new locations.  She was great to work with and beautiful (You hear me Selina?  BEAUTIFUL! :) ) ... So easy to photograph and a pleasure to work with.  I am looking forward to the next shoot when her boyfriend comes along for he fun!
