West Palm Beach Maternity Photography | Michelle + Doug {Awaiting Baby #3}

How gorgeous is this family? I can't wait to see what baby #3 looks like, Michelle's first two look like models!

After a rain reschedule we had beautiful weather yesterday for our session. Michelle wears pregnancy so well and is stunning to photograph. They're expecting May 11th, but my birthday is the 25th so maybe mom can hold off a few extra days ;) Kidding!

West Palm Beach Photography | The space!

Really, really, super, duper excited. My room mate is ah-may-zing for letting me take over her back room. I found a beautiful office set on Craigslist for an awesome price and I couldn't pass it up. This is the first time I've everrrrrr had my art hung on my walls. I don't know why it took me so long because it's beautiful! Canvas, mounted prints, metallic and lustre prints.... I love large prints!

Thank you my big brother Matt for helping me lift this incredibly heavy furniture and the road trip to Jupiter Farms to pick it up. I have so much space to work now, I love it.

See for yourself!

West Palm Beach Photographer | Jo {Just Because}

If I had to guess, I'd say 90% of my recent clients tell me "I'm not photogenic" or "I don't know how to pose" so it was no shocker when Jo told me the same. I think we, as women, need to give ourselves more credit! We're beautiful and amazing and I do my best to photograph that in each person. I made Jo do some funny poses to break the ice and it worked - because when she relaxed she was fabulous. I showed her a few images I had taken as we progressed through the session and she was blown away at how beautiful she looked. I hate to be the one to break it to you Jo, but you are beautiful. ;)

I enjoyed our session, you were an absolute pleasure to work with!

Palm Beach Newborn Photography | Emma {5 days new}

Sweet, sweet Emma. She was born March 6th, making her 5 days new for our session (which was Sunday, on Sabrina's actual due date). Mom thought Emma was going to put up a fight, but after a good feed and some "shhhh" and head pats, Emma did just fine. She modeled my antique scale, new miniature wood bed (thanks to Mark!), a wire basket, and my pretty coral ruffle fabric. Grandma made a special request for a sleepy owl hat and after 3 crochet classes I finally got the hang of it and made it in time for Emma's arrival. It was a little big (ok, a lot big) but moms bobby pins came in handy and we made it work! She was perfect.

Thanks to mom and dad for allowing me to photograph such a big event in your lives. I can't wait to watch Emma grow!

Palm Beach Family Photography | Amy + Aiden {And Toby too!}

Amy and Aiden came from Ft Lauderdale fully equipped with their pup Toby, a friend to help, and jackets to ward off the cold wind. Lil Aiden was a popsicle but was still a handsome fella. We only shot off a few before he was ready for the heated ride back home in moms car. We'll go for round two in the spring!

Palm Beach Boudoir Photography | Casting Call!

Hello doll face!  I'm taking on a project to create a boudoir posing guide.  The purpose of the guide is to aid my lovely clients during their sessions.  I do whatever it takes to make my lady clients feel at ease during their session.  The words I hear the most are something along the lines of- I have no idea what I'm doing, I don't know how to pose and I've never done anything like this before.  I do my best to reassure the beauties that there's no pressure and I'll coach them through the whole session.  I get down on the ground and show the poses I'm coaching, but wouldn't it be fabulous to have a guide and SHOW you a picture of exactly what I'm describing to you?  Yes!  Yes it would be fab, which is why I'm putting together a posing guide.

What I'm looking for:

  • 4-6 ladies to pose for my guide, willing to authorize public use of the images
  • I'd love to open this casting call to soccer moms, curvy ladies, the girl next door, and the aspiring model.  I think it would be added goodness to showcase the beauty of women, every shape and size.
  • passion and the complete desire to be fully involved in this project.

How to get involved:

  • Email shootme@miroredimages.net with a brief description of why you want to be a part of this project, what boudoir means to you, and how you think you'd benefit from this session.
  • Include a head shot, height, weight and hobbies/interests.
  • Include your availability for the next three weekends and for the dates March 19-25,

If you get casted, what to expect:

  • You must provide your own props and wardrobe.
  • A one day shoot with ladies rotating through their mini-sessions.
  • Professional hair and make up may be available for a fee, depending on the date chosen.  If it is not available on set, you will be responsible for having it professionally done prior to arriving.
  • Aside from the printed boudoir guide, you can expect your images to be used for other promotional items including web site and facebook.
  • Discounted product orders for 14 days following the session.

Not everyone who applies will get asked to participate.  I have limited spaces and I'm casting for specific (but different) looks.

Thanks ladies!

Palm Beach Maternity Photographer | Erica + Brian {Awaiting Baby Landon}

Erica and I met when I lived in Greenville SC.  She and Brian are expecting a baby boy in the Spring and this weekend they came down to visit family in Boynton Beach for their baby shower.  We set up a maternity shoot for today, yes.... Super Bowl Sunday.... and unfortunately it wasn't a pretty day out and we were strapped for time because Brian had more pressing matters to attend to ;) .  But, we managed to get a few great shots, met a native on the farm (a little Jack Russell) and finished in time for the pre-game.

It was great hanging out with Erica again and meeting her boyfriend.  I'm told he HATES pictures, I guess I didn't make a good first impression on him :D

Here's a few of my fav's... there's more on facebook.

Palm Beach Photographer | Thanks for Giving... Give away....

So much has happened both in my personal and career life over the last year.  I'm extremely grateful to all the amazing friends, family, and clients who have seen me through.  Photography has helped to keep my mind off of more pressing issues in my life.  It's something I could do all day every day and never get sick of it.  It's such an honor to be a part of your life, photograph your memories, and watch your families grow.  The biggest compliment you can give me is to refer a friend to me and I'm about 80% word of mouth.  So for that, I thank you.

The month of November serves as two events.  First, it's Thanksgiving (of course!) and second, it's the birthday month of Mirrored Images.  This year I will be giving away a session to one lucky individual.  Send me your story, your triumph, and your blessings and I will read it and choose one lucky person to give a session to.  Nothing is off limits here.  Wedding, newborn, high school senior, boudoir, maternity, etc.  You tell me in your submission what you're interested in and if you win, it's yours.

All entries must be received by November 16th at midnight.  Please email your story to shootme@mirroredimages.net and include your name, age, location (must be willing to travel to Palm Beach County), session interested in, and the best contact number.  Your story will not be shared publicly so please don't hold back.  Tell me why you deserve this, tell me what you're grateful for, and tell me what obstacles you've overcome in your life.
