christmas picture special

Tight budget this year?  Don't know what to get for everyone or even if you have the time to shop?  I have the perfect solution!  Christmas Mini's have quickly become a popular option for families for two reasons.

  • It's a gift that your family and friends will treasure for ever and ever.
With my custom design and photography skills you will have the best card on the mantel, for sure.

Palm Beach Maternity Photographer | Sam + Jared {Awaiting Baby}

Baby bump numero two for the weekend!  We headed to the coast for this session and after Hurricane Irene made her debut on Thursday, it was surprisingly {amazingly} beautiful there today.

I've known Jared for ... 10+ years {I'm not going to show my age....}  and when I found out him and Sam were expecting I gave them an offer they couldn't refuse for maternity pictures :)  Such a classy, beautiful couple and extremely easy to photograph.   They made it easy for me tonight, for sure.  I got to play in the tall beach grass I love so much {sometimes too much....} and they got to incorporate a few props into the session that have family meaning to them.

Big time thank you to my friend Sally who carried my heavy equipment tonight and last night.  I just don't have enough arms sometimes...

Now on to the pictures!

Palm Beach Photographer | New Material

A few days ago I got this crazy idea that I should rebrand.  I say crazy because I literally JUST rebranded back in November.  I liked it at first, but I didn't feel like it went well with my personality or my style of shooting.  As I previously blogged about, I am relocating to Palm Beach next month and I felt that this would be a perfect time to change the look of everything.  I figured, I have to reorder everything to update the address and phone number so why not do it all!

I designed my logo and after enlisting in the help of a few good friends, we went with the color scheme and logo version you're seeing now!  Green and purple, dots and lines, and some sort of splotchy thing.  I feel like its fun, fresh, clean, modern, and definitely more my style!

Because I'm on a short time frame, with the move approaching in 19 days, I purchased a marketing kit from Go4ProPhotos that included all the templates you see below.  I spent the entire day plugging in my information, new colors & logo, and creating a kit for weddings and one for portraits.  Although it's a lot of polka dots, I really like it!  I can't wait to get it all printed and put together hard copies of my welcome kits.... and I can't wait to hear what everyone else  thinks of it.  So let 'er rip!  I want to know the good, bad, and the ugly!

Palm Beach Newborn Photographer | Baby Karigan {5 days new}

I had perfect timing with this trip to Florida.  Karigan was born just before I arrived in Palm Beach so at 5 days new we set up a newborn session for the lil lady.  She is so precious and loved.  She has an older sister and two older brothers, no doubt she'll be a spoiled lil thang.  We played with hats, headbands, boxes, and even some kitchen decor.  I'm looking forward to the next session with the whole family :)

Palm Beach Infant Photographer | Ella {3 months}

Ohhhhh this baby!  She smiles all day long and as soon as the camera comes out she's a diva!  No smiles, but we'll try for one next time.  We took Ella to the beach for her first outdoor photo session and then we went back to mom and dad's to finish the session in doors.  I just love her tutu!  Mom made Ellas headband which matched perfectly with the tutu.

Greenville Newborn Photographer | Lil' Gracie {4 days new}

What a day!  Miss Gracie definitely had us running on her schedule today.  After a while she gave in to the paparazzi and fell asleep.  Gracie was born on Memorial Day at 5:15 pm lbs 1 oz.  She sure gave her momma a hard time in the days leading up to her arrival, but she's absolutely perfect and as precious as they come.

I purchased these adorable hats from an awesome lady on Etsy.  She overnighted them to me so we'd have them in time for the session today.  Here's a link to her store!

Greenville Maternity Photography | Waiting on baby {Jess + Roger}

I just love this family.  Jessica has been an amazing friend to me over the last few years and I've had the pleasure of photographing their growing family through different stages in their lives.  Baby Gracie is ready to make her arrival and will add to the estrogen over load that poor Roger is having to deal with.... LOL!  Jess, Mykaylee, Annie, and Gracie will rule the house ;)

Jess is on bed rest due to blood pressure complications, so we took it easy for this session.  We were lucky enough to stay close to their home and shot this session next door on their neighbors land.  The goats tried to get their 15 minutes of fame, but I photoshopped them out haha.

Greenville Maternity Photographer | Waiting on baby {Jami + Terry}

Terry purchased a gift certificate for Jami's birthday back in February and she was chomping at the bit to be able to use it!  Because I wasn't photographing in March or April we had to wait until May, but the pictures turned out awesome even though we were pushing the envelope on time!  32 weeks pregnant, can you believe it?!  What a beautiful pregnant momma!

Terry's family has land in Inman that we decided to use for the session.  Aside from the 70% humidity, the 40% chance of rain, and the vicious mosquitoes that were attacking me it was the perfect location!  It had a walking path that was covered by bright green tree's, a beautiful pond, and tall grass (which is quickly becoming one of my "must haves" for location scouting).  Across the street there was a train track, and I couldn't resist laying her down on the tracks.  Controversy?  Yes!  But that's what makes the picture's so much different than the rest!

Terry, Jami, Kenzie (and Thailon): thank you for letting me be a part of your lives.  I hope you have an easy delivery and I can't wait to meet that baby boy!

(PS, hair and make up was done by the wonderful Katie Cotton)

Greenville Family Photographer | My baby is SEVEN!

One thing I regret the most is NOT having maternity pictures taken when I was pregnant with my son.  There was no particular reason that I didn't have them done, but looking back now I wish I would have.

For the last few years its become a tradition for my son and I to go out on his actual birthday and take his pictures.  About a week ago my son asked for a mo-hawk and I caved.  I think it's adorable :).  So to tie into the "rebel" look he has, we went to find some train tracks and spent some time shooting the beginning of his seventh year.  It's amazing looking back at his previous birthday sessions how much he has changed and grown.  He's a little man, but he'll always be my baby.

Greenville Newborn Photographer | Sweet Baby Ella

I met this adorable little thang a few weeks ago when she was just 1.5 weeks old!  She refused to sleep during the session but cooperated nonetheless!  Babies are like free therapy; they make all your problems disappear and make everything around you happy!  I love babies!  I have baby fever.... I always get baby fever when I photograph a newbie.  It's puppy love!

I've started a new system in regards to displaying sneak peaks and blog posts.  Before I would post them immediately after the session but after a ton of research and testing it out with this session, I've decided to delay the sneak peaks until I've had the opportunity to meet with my clients for their private viewing.  That way they get to see the pictures first, and the amount of excitement and joy in these parents eyes proved that this is a better way to go!

Now for the baby pictures!
